Context from step 3
Ground bus (faded context)
4.1 Volume Lug 1 → solder short wire to ground bus (pot casing or bus wire)
4.2 Junction X → Volume Lug 3 — already done in step 3.7 (shown faded as context)
4.3 Volume Lug 2 (wiper) → route wire to Tone Lug 3 (CW/input)
NO TREBLE BLEED. Lugs 2 and 3 are left clean — no components bridging them. If you want to add a treble bleed later, solder a 150k resistor in parallel with a 1nF cap between Lug 2 (wiper) and Lug 3 (input). Easy retrofit, no rework needed.
✓ CHECK: V1 to ground bus = continuity. Signal path: blend → V3 → V2 (wiper) → tone. No shorts between lugs. Wiper (Lug 2) reads resistance to both Lug 1 and Lug 3 when pot is mid-rotation.
